The Houston Police Department is seeking help from the public in the search for a man wanted in connection with a robbery that left a victim injured. The suspect, identified as 47-year-old James Roberson, is wanted for a robbery that took place at a Houston bus station earlier this year.
The incident occurred on February 19, when a woman at the bus station located on the 7000 block of Harrisburg was approached by a man calling himself "Jay Diamond." After a brief conversation, the man allegedly grabbed the woman’s purse and ran off. The victim gave chase, caught up to him, and during the ensuing scuffle, she was dragged a short distance before the suspect successfully fled the scene. This information was relayed by the Houston Police Department's Robbery Division.
Following an investigation, Roberson was established as the prime suspect, leading to a robbery warrant being filed on March 13. Despite efforts to locate him, he remains at large as of yesterday, with active warrants out for his arrest, as per a statement obtained by the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division.
Crime Stoppers of Houston has stepped in, offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the charging or arrest of any felony suspects, which includes Roberson in this case. Those with any such information are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers directly.
