A series of raids by the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team (KVET) yesterday led to the seizure of drugs, a firearm and arrests in Kalamazoo Township. In a search on the 3300 block of West Main Street, investigators recovered 1.25 pounds of methamphetamine, 1.25 ounces of fentanyl, and a weapon, alongside money suspected to be from drug sales. FOX17 reports that drug-manufacturing equipment was also confiscated during the bust.

The operation unfolded as part of an investigation into local drug activities. A 25-year-old man with prior convictions, thus prohibited to have a gun, was detained and is expected to face multiple felony charges. According to authorities, he was taken into custody and is being held at Kalamazoo County Jail. The investigation also extend to quickly seize additional contraband at a separate location on Townhouse Lane, where meth and a "distribution amount" of fentanyl were discovered, as reported by WOODTV.

The concurrent raid at Townhouse Lane north of Homecrest Avenue resulted in the arrest of a 33-year-old man. Officials say he is expected to be slapped with multiple felony charges concerning the items recovered, which include 5 ounces of meth and drug distribution equipment. His name has not yet been released to the public.

KVET, along with the Crime Reduction Team, were involved in the investigation that led to these busts. The seized items and cash are believed to be tied to a larger drug trafficking network within the region. WWMT notes the ongoing nature of the case, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward.
