The Kirkland Police Department is actively seeking the help of the community to locate 66-year-old David Harger, a vulnerable adult who has been missing since noon on Wednesday. Harger, a resident of the Kingsgate area in Kirkland, needs medical attention, prompting an acute sense of urgency to his disappearance. According to the Kirkland Police Department, he is known to suffer from conditions that leave him prone to falling, disorientation, and confusion without his medication.
Described as 5’11” tall and weighing about 180 pounds, Harger has brown hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a dark red t-shirt, dark-colored knit pants, and black Velcro shoes. Significantly, he was wearing a black pouch around his neck containing his necessary medication when he vanished. The King County Search and Rescue, employing an unmanned aerial system alongside ground teams, has joined the Kirkland Police in their search efforts. It is noted that Harger may be using the King County Metro bus system as he does not have access to a car.
In response to his disappearance, David Harger has been added to Washington State’s missing persons database with a "Silver Alert" designation. This is a critical measure, recognizing his vulnerability and the importance of relaying his identification to as wide an audience as possible. The community's assistance is requested in ensuring his swift and safe return, as his medical needs intensify the longer he remains unaccounted for.
