The incident occurred on West Flamingo Road, east of Cameron Street, where the woman was fatally struck by a 2020 Dodge Charger, as reported by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. After the initial single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle with two occupants, the female pedestrian, previously a passenger on the motorcycle, found herself walking along the roadway when the Charger made its deadly contact.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, witnesses acted with swift concern, following the hit-and-run suspect and providing key information that led to the arrest of 41-year-old Corey Carr. Carr, the man behind the wheel of the Charger, was arrested on DUI and hit-and-run-related charges. This crash is the 96th traffic-related death in Las Vegas this year, the police are investigating the incident thoroughly to understand what happened.
