Last Friday morning, a fire broke out affecting two homes in Three Rivers, but no injuries were reported as emergency services promptly responded to the incident. According to FOX 17, firefighters were called to the houses on 4th Street at approximately 5:22 a.m. One of the homes, a two-story building, was where the fire likely started before spreading to the neighboring house.
Police officers were quick to assist in evacuating residents from one of the houses, ensuring everyone's safety during the chaotic event. The fire was tackled and knocked down in about 20 minutes, as WOODTV reported, but the cost of the damage to the properties has not yet been disclosed yet.
The Three Rivers Fire Department, with assistance from Fabius Park and Centreville Fire Departments, made an aggressive attack on the blaze. "Medic 244 and Engine 211 arrived on scene within 5 minutes of dispatch," reported Three Rivers Fire Department. They found "a 2 story residential structure with heavy fire showing from the 1st and 2nd floors with fire extending to the neighboring house." Firefighters' efforts were successful in limiting damage to the second home.
