Philadelphia police have apprehended two brothers, Robert Reynolds, 20, and Raekwon Reynolds, 26, for their alleged involvement in a spat of auto-related wrongdoing that has surged across Northeast Philadelphia. The string of incidents, which include auto theft, vandalism, and access device fraud, spanned from April 2023 to July 2024, as Metro Philadelphia reported.
The younger Reynolds was implicated in a fraud case back in April 2023 and engaged in further misconduct through September which saw nine acts of vandalism and three thefts; April of 2024 brought another theft by his hand, followed by one stolen vehicle and a theft in June, before rounding July with five thefts, as shared by PHL17. Police also leveled charges including criminal mischief and theft at Robert Reynolds, while his brother, Raekwon Reynolds appears to have been charged with a variety of crimes, including robbery, criminal conspiracy, and simple assault, as he tangled with the law.
Following a meticulous investigation that involved combing through residential and commercial video surveillance, law enforcement pinpointed Robert as a suspect and arrested him under an active robbery warrant, as FOX 29 reports. His subsequent charges relate to numerous episodes of theft from vehicles and vandalism stretching through several neighborhoods. Raekwon Reynolds, facing a robbery warrant himself, now stands accused of more serious offenses.
The Northeast Detectives Division is committed to their duty, still endeavoring to ensure that justice is administered for these acts of criminality they encourage the community to maintain alertness and to reach out with any report of suspect activity. In the web of crime spun over more than a year these brothers have been ensnared, and the authorities seem determined to prevent them from slipping through justice's grip once more.
