The Philadelphia Police Department's Northwest Detective Division is currently seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a strong-arm robbery that occurred last month. According to the authorities, the incident took place on July 22, at approximately 4:40 p.m. at the 5500 Wissahickon Apartments.
The victim, a woman whose identity has not been disclosed, was reportedly attacked from behind by the assailant. The Philadelphia Police blotter states that security footage captured an unknown black male with braids following the complainant into the building. This individual is alleged to have then proceeded to forcibly push her into an empty room, where he knocked her unconscious, robbed her belongings, and then fled the scene.
An employee of the apartment complex later discovered the victim and promptly sought medical attention for her. The nature and extent of her injuries have not been to fully detail by the police.
The suspect has been described as a black male with braids, last seen wearing a green hooded jacket. The Philadelphia Police have released security footage and are asking anyone with information regarding the suspect to come forward.
