
Riverside authorities have arrested two additional suspects in a homicide case that has gripped the Mead Valley community. According to a statement from the Riverside Sheriff’s Office, Daniel Santos Ambriz, 31, and Samantha Insley, 21, both residents of Perris, have been apprehended in Lawton, Oklahoma on suspicion of murder and aiding and abetting, respectively.
Ambriz was taken into custody with the assistance of the Lawton Police Department on an outstanding arrest warrant for homicide. Insley is currently being held on a warrant associated with assisting in the murder investigation. They are both held at the Comanche County Detention Center and pending extradition back to Riverside County, where they will face charges related to the August 12 fatal shooting.
The incident began when Perris Sheriff’s Station deputies were called to a reported vehicle theft. Upon arriving at the scene, it was discovered that a Hispanic male had been fatally shot at the intersection of Cajalco Road and Haines Street. The victim, later identified as 29-year-old Jose Eduardo Del Real, received lifesaving attempts from passing citizens but was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
In an ongoing effort to unravel the case, Riverside Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit charged Juan Cristoval Ambriz, 26, who is currently in custody for unrelated charges, with murder amongst other offenses. Investigators are continuing their probe into the intricacies surrounding the case.
