The National Weather Service in Seattle forecasts a damp week ahead, with showers and potential thunderstorms on the horizon. According to the latest report, Today could see showers and thunderstorms post-2 pm, with a 60% chance of precipitation and a high of 72 degrees.
Heading into Wednesday, showers are expected to gain momentum, mainly after 11 am, under cloudy skies signaling a 70% chance of rain. A troubling breeze from the south, 8 to 10 mph, did little to sway the looming clouds which promised less than a tenth of an inch of newfound moisture.
As the week progresses, Wednesday night increases the stakes with an 80% probability of showers and a possible thunderstorm. Conditions are likely to be fairly static temperature-wise, with highs hovering around the 70-degree mark amidst mostly cloudy skies and continuing rain prospects through to the weekend.
Thursday's forecast presents a simmered down 40% likelihood for showers, with the weather pattern sticking to mostly cloudy conditions, while Friday hints at a sun break amidst shower chances. Faced with an ambiguous sky, the showers could grace the area, especially after 11 pm, with a low of around 57 degrees. The unsettled weather will possibly persist over the weekend, with Saturday and Sunday both looking mostly cloudy and shower-prone. Sun seekers may have some respite by next Monday, which is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 71 degrees.
