
A tragic hit-and-run collision in Clintonville yesterday night has left one motorcyclist dead, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement. According to NBC4i, Columbus police arrested a suspect later that evening, after the individual allegedly fled the scene of the crash involving an SUV and the motorcycle.
The incident occurred at 7:43 p.m. at the intersection of North High Street and West Kelso Road. Witnesses reported seeing the white SUV collide with the motorcycle before the driver left the location hastily. Officers arrived quickly on the scene to begin their investigation into the catastrophe that unfolded on the busy street.
Compounding the tragedy, the motorcyclist who sustained serious injuries was rushed to Riverside Methodist Hospital but was pronounced dead by 8:30 p.m. Sgt. Joe Albert of the Columbus Division of Police relayed this information, as reported by WBNS.
In the aftermath, an unidentified suspect is now in custody, offering perhaps a semblance of justice to unfold in the face of such a loss.
