Two individuals with prior felony convictions were found unresponsive in what was discovered to be a stolen vehicle in Needles, California, and were arrested last Thursday on multiple charges including illegal firearm possession, according to the Colorado River Sheriffs Department.

The incident occurred on the morning of August 15 when deputies, responding to a call, found Travis Clark, 32, and Anthony Spinharney, 43, both residents of Bullhead City, Arizona, passed out in a vehicle parked at the 100 block of Marina Drive, as per the Colorado River Sheriffs Department. Through a records check, the vehicle was determined to be stolen and a search unearthed a gun, ammunition, and a machete within the vehicle, the Sheriff's Department stated. Clark and Spinharney were both found to violate California Penal Codes that strictly prohibit felons from possessing firearms and ammunition.

Following the recovery of the items, the two were taken into custody and booked at the High Desert Detention Center, as per the department's press release, and they currently remain held on a bail of $30,000 awaiting their subsequent court hearings.

The case remains under investigation and Deputy J. Dean of the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department is encouraging anyone with information to come forward, offering the opportunity for anonymous tips through the We-Tip hotline at (877) 79CRIME (27463) or on their website.
