With the grand success of the 19th annual The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival, which drew in diverse artistic talents and generated a solid chunk of change for community arts, The Woodlands Arts Council is not resting on their laurels. As reported by Hello Woodlands, the recent festival saw a wrap on April 14t and featured over 200 artists, with the noteworthy "Water Break" painting by Regina Lyubovnaya fetching a stellar $23,000 at auction. The proceeds from these events funnel into programs that cultivate and support the arts, including scholarships and microgrants.

Come this fall, The Woodlands Arts Council is introducing a slew of new events, as detailed by Houston Chronicle. A Young Makers Market on September 7 will showcase the creative outputs of artists ages 8-18, and November heralds the inaugural Texas Fine Craft Show, a three-day event poised to highlight world-class fine hand-made crafts. "This is really, truly about understanding what fine craft is," Executive Director Jenny Carattini-Wright stated.

Moreover, The Woodlands Arts Council is also setting the stage for its contributions to the township's 50th anniversary. This includes new art installations and a continuation of their popular Art Bench Project. With the 2025 Waterway Arts Festival already in their sights, Carattini-Wright told Houston Chronicle, "We're going to keep on truckin' and doing all kinds of great art." These efforts, including the upcoming Texas Fine Craft Show that takes place from November 1-3 at The Westin at The Woodlands Hotel, are not just a showcase but also a support loop, with ticket proceeds backing the Council’s Microgrant program.

In addition, art enthusiasts with a taste for the exclusive can opt for the "Bubbles with Benefits" package at the Texas Fine Craft Show, priced at $150 with weekend access and added perks. Haley Garcia, vice president of the nonprofit and event chair, articulated her excitement to the Houston Chronicle, "I could not be more thrilled to be a part of our inaugural fine craft show and to share with The Woodlands what fine craft truly is."
