
San Antonio police are investigating an early morning shooting that left a young man critically injured just north of downtown. The incident took place around 2:52 a.m. on the 5300 block of Blanco Road near Jackson Keller Road, as reported by KENS 5.
According to authorities, after receiving several calls about shots fired, officers found the 21-year-old victim with wounds to his stomach and back. He was transported in critical condition to University Hospital. A separate but related report by FOX San Antonio noted that the shooting occurred just before 3 a.m. at the nearby Presidio Flats Apartments. Despite lacking a description of the perpetrator, officers scoured the neighboring wooded area following the incident.
So far, police have made no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing. Investigators have yet to provide a description of the suspect, and there were no direct witnesses to the shooting itself. In an effort to find leads, the police are asking anyone with information to step forward.
