
A shooting incident in Canoga Park on Saturday night resulted in the death of a 19-year-old man and left another individual critically injured. KTLA reports that police officers responded to the 11:50 p.m. dispatch regarding gunshots in the 8300 block of Northgate Avenue where they discovered the two victims.
Upon arrival, responders quickly transported both men to the hospital. It is here where the 19-year-old man was pronounced dead due to the severity of his wounds, meanwhile, the second victim was being treated and is now in stable condition. Attempts to piece together the circumstances leading up to the incident are underway, but details are scant to come by at the moment.
The Los Angeles Police Department has not yet released the name of the deceased, stating only his age. Detectives from the Operations-Valley Bureau Homicide are leading the investigation and have issued a call for witnesses or anyone with applicable information to step forward.
