The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan has issued a warning regarding life-threatening waves and dangerous currents along the Lake Michigan shoreline. According to their Beach Hazards Statement from the National Weather Service, beaches across Sheboygan, Ozaukee, Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha counties are expected to face waves ranging from 4 to 6 feet with the potential for "Strong structural and longshore currents are expected." In light of the risks, the Beach Hazards Statement remains effective from early Friday morning through Saturday afternoon.

As detailed on the National Weather Service, the weekend forecast suggests partly sunny skies with a 20 percent chance of showers this afternoon and into the early evening. Temperatures are expected to climb near 67 with a north wind around 10 to 15 mph.

Beachgoers are being warned of hazardous conditions and are urged to "Stay out of the water and away from dangerous areas like piers and breakwalls." The threat of rip currents further elevates the risks along the lakeshore, as per the Beach Hazards Statement from the National Weather Service

Looking ahead, the weather is set to clear up with a predominantly sunny outlook for Saturday and Sunday. Winds are expected to be north around 10 to 15 mph on Saturday and switch to west 5 to 10 mph by Sunday. Beginning Sunday, temperatures are forecasted to rise significantly, peaking at around 76, with the upward trend continuing through to the midweek.
