Authorities recently took 24-year-old Devin Perkins into custody in Los Angeles as a second suspect connected to a fatal shooting in Las Vegas earlier last month. His arrest comes following an extensive investigation into the incident that left a man dead, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported. The shooting took place on August 12 around 3:43 a.m. on Palos Verdes Street and escalating to the situation where responding officers found a male gunshot victim inside a vehicle on Calcaterra Circle.
The victim, who has yet to be publicly identified pending notification from the Clark County Coroner’s Office, was transported to Sunrise Hospital and pronounced deceased. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department detailed the events leading up to the discovery of the victim, who had been seen with an unknown white female prior to the incident that later unfolded with him succumbing to gunshot wounds. Following the shooting, the said female was seen running through a nearby apartment complex, while the male victim managed to drive a short distance before his vehicle came to a stop. Devin Perkins, now in custody at the Los Angeles County Jail, is awaiting extradition to Las Vegas to face charges for open murder. There has been no further information released regarding the white female initially mentioned in relation to the shooting.
