An Orlando man has been indicted on several charges related to child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Kevin Michael Lukens, age 38, faces allegations of enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity, producing, receiving, and possessing CSAM. The penalties, if convicted, range from a minimum of 10 years to life in prison for the enticement offense, 15 to 30 years for production, 5 to 20 years for receipt, and up to 20 years for possession, announced by the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Details obtained by the U.S. Attorney’s Office indicate that the events leading to Lukens' indictment spanned from July 2020 through September 2021, with CSAM found in his possession as recently as January 29. An indictment is not a guilt determination but a formal accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven otherwise.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Orlando Police Department jointly conducted the investigation that led to the charges against Lukens. Assistant United States Attorney Michael Sartoian will prosecute the case.
