In a somber turn of events in Pomona, authorities are delving into the details of a fatal traffic accident that claimed the life of a woman yesterday evening. The incident, which involved a vehicle and a pedestrian, occurred close to the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Myrtle Avenue, as stated by the Pomona Police Department in a recent report.

Officials were summoned to the scene at approximately 9:56 PM, where they found the victim lying in the road with grave injuries. Despite prompt medical attention from Los Angeles County Fire/Paramedics, the woman's injuries proved fatal, and she was declared dead at the scene, the department detailed in a press release. The identity of the woman is being withheld until her family can be notified. Following the incident, the driver associated with the collision initially fled, however, later turned themselves in to Pomona Police Department.
