
Officers were alerted at approximately 6:16 a.m. following a report of an assault with a deadly weapon related to a domestic violence incident on the 7300 block of Balboa Boulevard. Upon arrival, police discovered the woman suffering from "blunt-force trauma injuries to her upper torso", as reported by CBS News Los Angeles.

William Anthony Tillman, 69, was arrested after police arriving on the scene found his girlfriend with severe blunt force trauma to her upper torso despite the paramedics being promptly at hand, she was pronounced dead at the scene, the circumstances that have led up to her death have yet to be unearthed. Tillman is reportedly being held on $2 million bail, according to details provided by LAPD PIO.
