The Delaware State Police report indicates that an unrestrained passenger, a 14-year-old boy, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

The young passenger's name has yet to be released pending notification of his family. A 19-year-old woman, also from Felton, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and another male occupant allegedly left to quickly disappear before the police could arrive. The identity of the F-150’s driver is still under investigation.

For several hours following the crash, authorities closed the affected portion of the road to investigate and subsequently clear the scene.
