
A tragic incident unfolded in West Seattle last night, leading to the death of a 31-year-old man following a car collision. The collision occurred shortly before 10 p.m. in the 6300 block of 48th Avenue Southwest, as reported by the Seattle Police Department.
Upon arriving on the scene after reports of the crash, officers found the involved vehicle had crashed into a parked Ford SUV. Inside, the male driver, extracted by responders from his Volvo, was subsequently found unresponsive. The Seattle Fire Department medics engaged in lifesaving efforts, but pronounced deceased at the scene was the man.
Patrol officers promptly secured the area, allowing detectives with the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad to investigate the crash. The ongoing investigation focuses on determining the sequence of events that precipitated this unfortunate outcome.
