Good news for those navigating construction near Aspen Greenbelt: the path under Bryce Lane and Saratoga Lane is now open again. The City of Davis reports that most of the work is complete, with only some patch paving scheduled. While we may need to make space for work crews briefly during the patching, everything is clear for now. The access ramps are also set to reopen today.
However, we need to adjust our routes again as Phase 3 and 4 projects are underway. The path from the Bryce Lane/Saratoga Lane intersections to the Glacier Drive crossing at Olympic Drive is closed to pedestrians and bikers for paving and ramp construction, expected to remain closed until about November 18. Commuters can detour via Denali Drive, Olympic Drive, or the Evergreen Greenbelt. The City of Davis will keep us updated with notifications when paving is complete and the paths are reopened.
The City of Davis has announced that Phase 5 work will begin in mid-November. This phase includes paving and concrete ramp construction on the Covell Blvd multi-use path from Shasta Drive to Denali Drive, expected to last about two weeks and finish in early December. Additionally, Phase 6 will start in early December, covering the stretch from Denali Drive to just past the UC Davis Medical Group business office, also with a two-week timeline.
