Michigan's Attorney General Dana Nessel has appointed Brad A. Brelinski as the new public administrator for Jackson County, a move that adds experienced legal expertise to the position. According to the Michigan Department of Attorney General's Office, Brelinski's established roots in the community and his extensive work in estate planning largely contributed to his qualification for the role.
Brelinski, who has practiced with Curtis, Curtis & Brelinski, P.C. since 2008, will now be responsible for effectively managing estates without known heirs, which includes duties such as determining and distributing assets. "Mr. Brelinski’s deep involvement in the Jackson County community and his expertise in estate planning make him a great fit to serve as public administrator," Nessel said, as per the Michigan Department of Attorney General's Office. Despite the new title, Brelinski will continue to fulfill his private practice responsibilities separate from his appointment as a public administrator.
Brad A. Brelinski's credentials include graduation from Western Michigan University and Wayne State University Law School. His career spans multiple areas of law, from estate planning to business law. Within his community, Brelinski has served on numerous boards and is currently active with the Jackson Area Estate Planning Council, Jackson County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, and the Michigan Advocacy Program.
