A 24-year-old Ravens fan, identified as John Callis, has been indicted on charges following an altercation with several Commanders fans after a football game in Baltimore. As reported by CBS News Baltimore, the incident that led to the indictment occurred after the Ravens vs Commanders game last Sunday and involved Callis assaulting three individuals in two separate instances. After the initial confrontation, two of the victims returned to the scene in search of their missing phones and were assaulted again, this time by a third victim who attempted to intervene.

Police have presented evidence that two of the victims sustained minor injuries, while the third was left with a concussion and memory loss. John Callis now faces one count of first-degree assault and three counts of second-degree assault. In an act to fully cooperate with the investigation, Callis turned himself into the authorities four days following the issuance of the warrant for his arrest.

The legal progression of the case has been placed in the hands of the State's Attorney for Baltimore City, Ivan Bates. In detailing the seriousness of the charges, Fox Baltimore quoted Bates speaking on the indictment, emphasizing the type of charges Callis is now confronted with. He is to stand trial on charges of first-degree felony assault and three counts of second-degree assault.
