Over in Baltimore, a significant arrest was made earlier this week. The suspect, 34-year-old Donte Green, who wanted about a series of armed bank robberies, was taken into custody. According to an announcement released by the Baltimore Police Department, the arrest occurred at 2:30 p.m. on a Greyhound bus situated in the 1100 Block of Russell Street, as Green was reportedly trying to leave the state.
Green's apprehension, which involved multiple charges, including armed robbery, assault, and theft, was the result of a collaborative effort. The Baltimore Police Department's Warrant Apprehension Task Force, U.S. Marshals’ Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, and FBI Baltimore Field Office were involved in the takedown. Green's attempt to flee the state was cut short when the suspect was arrested while aboard the bus.
The alleged crimes occurred between September and October 2024, affecting both Baltimore City and Baltimore County. In addition to these recent charges, Green also had outstanding warrants for aggravated assault and multiple parole violations. After his arrest, he was taken to the Baltimore County Public Safety Building for processing, and then he found himself at the Towson Precinct for his bail hearing.
