The burgeoning culinary landscape of Baltimore's The Village of Cross Keys is about to welcome a new member, championed by the prolific Atlas Restaurant Group. As reported by Fox Baltimore, the group has revealed the name and executive chef for its upcoming Chinese dining destination – Nine Tailed Fox, set to open in the spring of 2025. Jeffrey Mei, a seasoned chef with 29 years of culinary expertise from New York to Texas, is announced as the executive chef. He will bring his extensive experience from restaurants such as ONE Dim Sum in Houston and The Sheraton Hotel in Flushing, New York, to oversee the kitchen at the new establishment.
Expanding on the announcement, Atlas Restaurant Group provided additional details about Nine Tailed Fox in a release detailed by WMAR-2 News. The restaurant aims to "blend traditional Chinese flavors with modern innovation," featuring a gourmet dining experience, a rooftop terrace, and a second-floor bar. This concept enriches the diverse dining experience at Cross Keys, including offerings from Easy Like Sunday and Cece’s Roland Park.
Atlas Restaurant Group, a dominant force with nearly two dozen bars and restaurants in the Baltimore area, boasts an eclectic range of cuisines in its portfolio. With Italian, Mediterranean, seafood, Latin, and Japanese cuisines already in its repertoire, the addition of Nine Tailed Fox's Chinese gastronomy signifies the group's commitment to diversifying Baltimore's palate. Baltimore residents currently enjoy Atlas' Italian gems like Tagliata and Italian Disco, as well as other cultural hotspots such as Ouzo Bay, Watershed, The Choptank, and Azumi.
To enhance visitor experience, The Village of Cross Keys recently acquired a marketplace liquor license. This new permit would allow guests to enjoy cocktails while they shop and peruse the retail center's offerings. This complements the diverse Atlas-owned landmarks frequented by Baltimoreans, including The Admirals Cup, James Joyce Irish Pub and Restaurant, The Valley Inn, and The Oregon Grille. As an indication of the group's continuous expansion, Atlas is also prepping for the debut of a new Japanese restaurant in Fells Point, further cementing its status as a maven of the Baltimore dining scene.
