
A fatal early morning crash on Capital Boulevard in Raleigh has resulted in the death of a driver, local authorities confirmed. The incident, which involved a single vehicle, took place around 2:30 a.m. earlier, according to CBS17. The section of the road between Atlantic Street and Fenton Street was closed off as police and fire crews responded to the scene.
The Raleigh police, who are currently investigating the crash's cause, hinted that speed might have been a contributing factor. A car was reported to have struck the bridge support on Capital Boulevard, and the driver, who was alone in the car, died as a result.
