The Euless Senior Center is gearing up to host a Halloween costume party that promises fun for the ages—both young at heart and in spirit. Scheduled on October 31 at 300 W. Midway Dr., the annual event kicks off at noon and invites seniors to indulge in festive activities and demonstrate how to celebrate Halloween in style.
According to the City of Euless, members of the Euless Family Life Senior Center aged 60 and above are eligible to join in the festivities. However, advance registration is required, with an entrance fee of a modest $5. Far from an ordinary celebration, the event will feature games, a costume contest with enticing yet undisclosed prizes, and a "delicious" lunch to round out the gathering.
While Halloween revelry often includes costumes and friendly competition, this event is about more than just winning contests or scoring points in games. It aims to foster a sense of community, providing an opportunity for friends to come together and create cherished memories. Of course, a little competitive spirit in the costume contest will only add to the fun, so participants are encouraged to bring their best ideas.
As for the lunch, details remain under wraps, but organizers have hinted that it will cater to all tastes, whether guests are witches, goblins, or even a Frankenstein in search of a hearty meal after a morning of activities. Given the center's reputation for hosting events that delight in the realm of comfort food, this year’s Halloween luncheon is expected to be no exception.
