A quick action by the Fairfield Police led to three arrests connected to carjacking and possession of stolen property. In an announcement described by the Fairfield Police Department in a social media post, officials detailed how the incident unfolded last Thursday afternoon.

Following a hit from a Flock camera, the stolen vehicle was spotted near Beck and Woolner Avenue. Officer O'Connell observed the car, later seen parked in a local business's lot, and casually walked into it by two individuals as if shedding their suspect status and clothes inside, according to the department's account. A third suspect, remaining in the vehicle, didn't manage to avoid detection and was detained with backup officers' assistance.

Inside the business, the pair attempted to disguise themselves by changing their attire. However, they did not shake the attention of the police, waiting outside to be promptly arrested upon their exit. The police recounted that the suspects "had changed their clothes while inside (although that didn’t deter their identifications they may have hoped)," signaling a failed attempt at a crafty escape, per the Fairfield Police Department.

All three suspects and their chameleon-like wardrobes were escorted to Solano County Jail. Not only had they been caught with the carjacked vehicle, but they also harbored stolen property, adding credence to the charges against them.
