Early Friday morning, a shooting at Big Apple Restaurant and Sports Pub in Fayetteville resulted in one man's death, according to the local police department. Fayetteville authorities reported that the incident occurred around 1:45 a.m. at the pub located at 5900 Yadkin Road. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the victim with gunshot wounds. "The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to medical personnel," CBS 17 reported.
The sports bar was open until 2 a.m., just 20 minutes after the shooting was reported. The investigation continued into the early morning hours, concluding around 7 a.m., according to an update from the restaurant's Facebook page cited by WRAL.
