A shocking incident unfolded in Southwest Houston over the weekend when a married woman and her spouse were arrested, accused of plotting a violent assault on the woman's former lover. According to ABC13, Hanna Alolaimi and her husband, Omar Bishtawi, faced charges of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault following their alleged attempt to abduct and kill a man with whom Alolaimi had been having an affair.

Police responded to a disturbing scene outside a Chick-fil-A restaurant on Westheimer Road around 9 p.m. Saturday. Court records indicated that the plan had been set into motion to kidnap and potentially end the life of Alolaimi's extramarital partner, who worked as a DoorDash delivery driver. Alolaimi reportedly organized a meet-up with the victim at a location consistent with their prior liaisons.

In a statement obtained by KHOU 11, the unnamed victim, a 36-year-old who had ended the relationship with Alolaimi some months prior due to its toxic nature, spoke out. He described how, after being lured to Alolaimi's vehicle, he was attacked by Bishtawi, who emerged from the back seat with a firearm and shot him twice: once in the leg and once in the foot. He expressed ongoing fear for his safety following the assault.

"Your husband jumped out from under a curtain that was in the backseat of the vehicle, put the complaining witness in a chokehold then pressed a firearm against the complaining witness's head," a prosecutor detailed during a court appearance. For the victim, quick medical intervention prevented a life-threatening outcome, he told KHOU 11.

Following the incident, the accused couple drove away from the scene but subsequently called the Houston Police Department to surrender. During the court hearing, both gave conflicting statements about the events. As the investigation continues, they remain in custody, with Bishtawi's bonds totaling $200,000 and Alolaimi's bonds set at $150,000.
