In a significant development for the Spring area, a new 130,000-square-foot megachurch is slated to break ground, signaling the growth of faith-based communities in North Houston. Intimidad con Dios, a multicultural, nondenominational congregation, has awarded the construction contract to Right Choice Construction, a Houston-based firm with roots in the church community. As reported by KHOU, the new Intimidad Worship Center aims to enhance its reach and bolster community support, offering services such as addiction aid and crisis assistance through distribution of essential goods.

"This new building will allow us to function more effectively when executing projects based on our vision and mission," General Pastor Jose Daniel Martinez expressed in a statement obtained by KHOU. Set to feature amenities like a coffee shop, children's center, and a 2,400-seat auditorium, the facility also includes a prayer tower and a recording studio. More than 600 parking spots are planned to accommodate the growing congregation.

Danielle Wright, owner and CEO of Right Choice Construction and an attendant of the church herself, conveyed a personal connection to the project. "There is no greater honor as a construction company than building a house of the Lord," Wright told Houston Business Journal. Earthwork for the new site began earlier this October, with the project's completion set for late spring of 2026. The current site, with its four Sunday services, has seen attendance outgrow the space available, necessitating the construction of a larger premise.

Founding Pastors José Daniel and Yoanny Martínez, originally from Cuba, have long envisioned this expansion. Additional context provided by Houston Business Journal indicates the land for the new building was acquired years ago. The church is currently operating from a property appearing to be leased from Champion Life Church, as per Harris County records. NGL Builders from Guatemala, the project's engineer, approached Wright's company believing it to be well suited for taking on the task of erecting the new worship center, further solidifying the local construction firm's role in building spaces that shape the community's landscape.
