A Lancaster County man is facing new charges after a third victim has come forward alleging child sexual abuse, as reported by East Earl Township Police. According to PennLive, the suspect, identified as 58-year-old Christopher T. Zweifel, is now being charged with multiple offenses, including indecent assault of a victim less than 13 years of age, endangering the welfare of children, and corruption of minors. This follows Zweifel’s initial arrest on August 5 and subsequent charges linked to other victims earlier this year.
Details from a report by ABC27 indicate that these new allegations surfaced after a report was filed with the police on September 19. The victim alleges that Zweifel assaulted them on multiple occasions between 2019 and 2021. Zweifel, who has yet to be arraigned on these new charges, was previously accused of similar crimes following his initial arrest and again when a second victim came forward merely days later.
This recent development includes accusations related to a third minor victim. According to FOX43, the father of the third victim, now 14 years old, reported to authorities that Zweifel abused his child during sleepovers at the perpetrator's home. The incidents purportedly occurred when the victim was between 10 and 12 years old, with Zweifel allegedly initiating the assault while the victim slept.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 16 while Zweifel remains in Lancaster County Prison.
