
Yesterday evening, a fire broke out in a vacant commercial building located at 759 E Manchester Avenue in the Green Meadows neighborhood of Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the blaze began at 6:38 PM and displayed moderate fire activity.
Adjacent to the burning structure was a two-story residential building that faced exposure to the flames. Firefighters engaged in an offensive strategy to combat the fire, with two additional task forces being requested to assist in the efforts.
While battling the structure fire, the first responding team was comprised of 36 firefighters. The crew worked diligently to extinguish the flames in just 27 minutes, displaying a swift and effective response. There were no reported injuries resulting from the incident, a testament to the comprehensive safety protocols and proficiency of the Los Angeles Fire Department. The concerted efforts of all units involved prevented what could have been a more severe disaster.
