
A pedestrian was killed and another was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident on State Route 99 in Lynnwood, as reported by local officials. The tragic collision occurred last night and resulted in the closure of the southbound lanes near 164th Street Southwest, FOX 13 Seattle explained, leading to traffic being redirected using the northbound lanes well into the night.
According to KOMO News, the Washington State Patrol (WSP) discovered the vehicle involved, a white Chevrolet Trailblazer with "reportable damage," which was located after the incident; however, the identity of the driver remains unknown, and the driver was not located at the scene of the found vehicle.
There has been no immediate release of information about the suspect involved in the incident. The car believed to be part of the hit-and-run was later found and has been towed for evidence, as per information from KING 5 News.
Local authorities encourage anyone with information about the accident to come forward to assist in the investigation and support those affected.
