The buzz around Baltimore Peninsula's latest hospitality addition comes in the form of Vessel, a new cocktail bar and lounge that recently opened its doors atop the ROOST Baltimore hotel. This nautically-inspired watering hole is the brainchild of Method Co., the organization behind ROOST Baltimore, and a series of other innovative dining concepts.
With a strategic placement on the hotel's third floor, Vessel offers patrons stunning views of the Patapsco River from its outdoor patio. To swiftly elevate the evening experience, the locale boasts an array of amenities including cabanas and outdoor tables complete with umbrellas. As reported by WMAR-2 News, Vessel's menu is "inspired by ports all over the world," featuring tiki cocktails like the classic Mai Tai and original concoctions such as the Oaxacan Vice – a blend of strawberry-pineapple rum with lime cordial and burlesque bitters.
The interior design of Vessel takes inspiration from vintage maritime elements. High-lacquered mahogany wood, porthole motifs, and subtle collegiate touches help to create an ambiance that is sophisticated yet inviting. Adding to this are the indoor bar and lounge, complete with a fireplace lounge, pool table, and televisions – not failing to cater to varying tastes and preferences for socialization and relaxation.
According to a statement obtained by SouthBMore.com, Randall Cook, CEO and co-founder of Method Co., proclaimed, "We are thrilled to introduce Vessel to the Baltimore Peninsula community through our partnership with MAG Partners, and unveil this unique space. We want it to be a destination where residents, ROOST guests, and locals can come together to relax, connect, and enjoy." Vessel not only hopes to serve as a new locus for mingling but also to further solidify Method Co.'s footprint in the Baltimore hospitality scene.
Vessel's opening augments a swiftly-growing roster of restaurants anticipated for the Baltimore Peninsula development, with recent openings and forthcoming establishments promising to cater to a diverse palette of tastes. The lounge currently operates Thursday to Sunday from 4pm to 11pm, and there are plans to soon expand operation hours, inviting Baltimoreans and visitors alike to indulge a bit more often in its culinary and mixing mastery.
