A 12-year-old Lakewood girl reported missing after surveillance footage showed her getting into an older model pickup truck, has been found safe. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation issued an Endangered Missing Alert for Samantha Mora, who is also known as Gia after she was last seen on camera in the early hours of Monday near the 6100 block of West 13th Avenue in Lakewood.
According to Denver7, the girl was seen entering a pickup truck described by the Lakewood Police Department as an older GMC model with a distinctive two-tone paint job. The truck had a temporary license plate, the specifics of which remain unknown, along with large red decals on the rear windshield memorializing an unnamed individual. Samantha, meanwhile, stood 5-foot-4 and weighed 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white Batman t-shirt, black sweatpants, and white Nike shoes, and carrying a small black purse.
Details on how or where Samantha was found have not been released but reported as safe, as detailed by KKTV. The police and community members had expressed concern for her safety due to her young age and the unclear circumstances of her disappearance.
