An incident of suspected road rage escalated to violence in Aurora on Monday morning when a man on his motorcycle was shot in a parking lot. As KDVR reports, the shooting took place around 10:20 a.m. in the 14000 block of East Colfax Avenue, near Interstate 225.
The Aurora Police Department confirmed that the male victim suffered life-threatening injuries before being transported to a hospital. While parked, the shooter is still at large after the man was critically injured in what appears to be the result of road rage.
As the investigation continues, authorities urge anyone with information about the shooting to step forward. According to 9NEWS, "The circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation; however, it's believed to be related to road rage." The shooter managed to drive off before officers, who are now seeking information from the public that could help locate the perpetrator, arrived on the scene.
