The City of Mansfield, Texas, is set to welcome a significant economic boost as Crystal Window and Door Systems TX, a subsidiary of the national manufacturer Crystal Window and Door Systems, LTD., broke ground on its new advanced manufacturing facility and regional corporate headquarters. The development promises to create 504 new jobs and is supported by a hefty $121 million in capital investment, according to the City of Mansfield.
In a celebration that marked the commencement of construction near Heritage Parkway and U.S. 287, the City Council joined hands with the Crystal team amidst projections that this venture will not only bolster the local economy but also fortify the state's manufacturing capabilities. The TEF grant and a Veteran Created Job Bonus are further sweetening the deal. The manufacturing of quality, energy-efficient vinyl and aluminum windows, and high-end fenestration systems will take place at the new hub, as confirmed by Crystal Chairman and Founder Thomas Chen who vividly expressed his thrill at expanding to Texas: "I started this company in 1990 with a small commercial operation in New York City, and with focus, determination, and a lot of hard work with dedicated employees, Crystal is now a national manufacturer with five major production facilities across the country," as per the City of Mansfield.
The enterprise, responsible for products found in some of the country's most notable buildings, is expanding its reach through this new Texas arm, Crystal Window and Door Systems TX, LTD. The project is set to unfold in phases over the years, aiming to cement Crystal's presence in Mansfield and beyond. Mansfield Mayor Michael Evans lauded the initiative stating, as cited by the City of Mansfield, "This is economic development in action, and it would not be possible without the hard work of city and state staff showing why Mansfield and Texas are where businesses want to be," showcasing a robust partnership between the city and the state of Texas that underscores a proactive approach toward economic growth.
