As Hurricane Milton gears to sweep through Central Florida, major Orlando theme parks are battening down the hatches, prioritizing guest and animal safety, and altering operating schedules. Busch Gardens, Gatorland, Legoland, and SeaWorld have rolled out temporary shut-downs for the week in a series of closures. At the same time, Disney World and Universal Studios continue to watch the storm's path closely, according to Orlando Weekly.
SeaWorld Orlando proactively responds to Milton's route predictions, closing SeaWorld, Aquatica, and Discovery Cove from Wednesday through Thursday. A statement by SeaWorld affirms its commitment "to ensure the safety of our ambassadors, guests and animals." It has also implemented a weather preparedness plan and assured continuous care for the animals by a dedicated team, as detailed by WESH.
The Orlando Weekly revealed that Legoland Florida will shut down during the same period, maintaining hotel operations with limitations. Gatorland has announced the closure on Wednesday and Thursday. Meanwhile, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has also decided to remain closed from Tuesday to Thursday.
Guests affected by the closures and those planning visits to the impacted parks are urged to check the respective websites and social media channels for timely updates about operations and safety measures.
