On an otherwise uneventful Monday morning at Riverside Preparatory Elementary School, routine surveillance by the School Resource Officer, Deputy W. Fifita, led to the arrest of 24-year-old suspect Sean Olson. According to the Victor Valley Sheriff's Department, Olson, who resides in Oro Grande, was recognized by Fifita as having an outstanding warrant for narcotics sales.
Fifita made the identification around 8:59 a.m. as Olson parked a white Toyota Camry near the educational facility, as detailed by the Sheriff's Department. Upon approaching the suspect, a vehicle search uncovered a significant quantity of fentanyl pills, methamphetamine, marijuana oil, and a large amount of marijuana along with packaging and cash—indicative of narcotics sales. The items were seized, and Olson was subsequently taken into custody and booked at the High Desert Detention Center. He is being held without bail.
