A man lost his luxury watch collection, worth over $100,000, after inviting two women to his room at a Las Vegas hotel. The theft occurred at the Wynn Encore Resort, where the victim had been socializing at the lobby bar beforehand.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that after the two women, Bailey Carr and Nikailah McMasters joined the man and another male companion, they went to the victim's hotel room. According to 8 News Now, the man fell asleep in the room with McMasters still there, while his associate and Carr were in another part of the suite. Upon waking, the man discovered that his luxury watches were missing.
The stolen timepieces included a diamond-encrusted Audemars Piguet valued at $80,000, a green-faced Rolex Presidential valued at $25,000, and a Rolex Submariner "Starbucks," a model with a black face valued at $15,000. Furthermore, he observed an unauthorized transaction via Zelle for $1,200 to McMasters. The theft and subsequent transactions are collectively deemed grand larceny exceeding $100,000.
The victim's friend recounted to police, as mentioned by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, that he had withheld additional money from Carr after she requested it in exchange for sexual acts, he did not recall ever sending it or what it was for. This refusal prompted Carr to leave, together, with McMasters, shortly afterward. Compounding the mystery of the evening, the same man claimed to have observed McMasters in possession of the victim's wallet, which he then secured in his suit jacket before the women departed.
Both suspects were identified and arrested by law enforcement at the Wynn Encore Resort on October 13. They face charges of grand larceny, residential burglary, and conspiracy to commit grand larceny. McMasters also faces an additional charge for theft valued between $1,200 and $5,000. Court appearances for the suspects are set for December 18.
