On a routine Wednesday evening in Eastvale, the community was jarred by a major injury traffic collision that claimed the life of a passenger. Just after 7:00 P.M., deputies from Jurupa Valley Sheriff's Station hurried to Limonite Avenue and Harrison Avenue in response to the incident. Upon arrival, they found a gravely wounded passenger amidst the wreckage of two vehicles. Officers administered medical aid in a battle against time until paramedics touched down only to bear witness to the passenger's fight for life reaching its end at the scene.
Having taken the baton from their on-site colleagues, the Jurupa Valley Sheriff's Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team has been meticulously gathering pieces of the puzzle to deduce the unfortunate series of events. While they have undertaken the task, driving under the influence has been ruled out as a contributor to the crash. The identification of the deceased remains under wraps, while the authorities bridge the delicate task of informing family members, the Sheriff's office stated in a press release.
Residents of the area faced detours and delays as a portion of Limonite Avenue, stretching from Sumner Avenue to Cedar Creek Road, along with Harrison Avenue, running between Golden Bit and Great Falls, was temporarily commandeered for investigative purposes. These closures allowed the investigators to sweep the scene for evidence and clues that could shine a light on the tragic event.
The Sheriff's office is calling upon witnesses with any knowledge of the collision to come forward. Deputy Shepherd of the Jurupa Valley Sheriff's Station has been named the point of contact for tips. Furthermore, individuals with information on their sleeves can directly call the Riverside County Sheriff's Office dispatch. Meanwhile, the Media Information Bureau stands by to field any press-related inquiries as the story unfolds.
