
Philadelphia is reeling after a triple shooting aboard a SEPTA Route "G" bus this past Tuesday afternoon. Police are now actively searching for a male suspect involved in the incident that left three people wounded. The shooting took place at 700 South 57th Street around 4:33 PM, as reported by the Philadelphia Police Department's official blotter. The police have turned to the community, seeking help to identify the individual responsible for the violence.
The suspect has been described as a Black male of medium build and medium brown complexion, with shoulder-length dreadlocks, as detailed by the Philadelphia Police Department. Witnesses noted his light beard, and he was last seen wearing a black Under Armour zip-up jacket, a white t-shirt underneath, black pants, and gray sneakers. To adhere to current health guidelines, he also wore a blue surgical mask. Authorities warn that the suspect is considered armed and dangerous, advising the public to refrain from approaching him and instead contact 911 immediately upon sighting.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the victims of the shooting are currently in stable condition after being rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Included among the injured is a 29-year-old female who was shot once in the right buttocks, a 60-year-old female who sustained a graze wound to the right side of her head, and a 56-year-old female who was shot once in the lower back. The police have yet to make any arrests in connection with the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing at the scene of the crime. No weapons have been found thus far.
