The city of Raleigh has launched a sticker contest. Participants are invited to illustrate the journey of stormwater from the city to creeks, streams, and rivers, while emphasizing the importance of clean waterways and flood prevention. The contest is open to all grade levels, and designs should reflect themes protecting water quality and preventing flooding , according to the City of Raleigh announcement.
Enthusiasts can reflect on the idea that "Water connects us" or advocate for recycling with "Stop. Think. Recycle." This contest invites not only emerging artists but also students from all grade levels to submit their sticker designs using a template available on the contest webpage. All entries must be submitted online by November 22. The city hopes to see catchphrases like "Clean pipes, clean rivers" and "Turn around, don't drown" on the winning stickers, which they will distribute at outreach events and in the community, as stated by the City of Raleigh.
Winners of Raleigh's sticker contest will have their designs used in the city's environmental initiatives to educate the public about stormwater maintenance and water quality. The stickers will be featured at city events to promote pollution prevention. Interested participants can find more details, the sticker template, and the application form on the City of Raleigh stormwater page.
