Jose Soriano, the man previously arrested in connection with a violent road rage incident in Las Vegas, has been taken into custody once more, this time in Virginia. FOX5 Vegas reported that U.S. Marshals, in coordination with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), booked Soriano into the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center in Leesburg, Virginia yesterday.

An initial arrest in July had seen Soriano released from custody, only for authorities to apprehend him again under circumstances not immediately made clear. Details surrounding his release and the reasons necessitating a second arrest remain sketchy. Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson expressed his satisfaction with the arrest, stating to News 3 LV, "We are very pleased this defendant was arrested and thank the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the United States Marshals Service for their assistance. We look forward to achieving justice for the victim in this case."

The charges against Soriano stem from an alleged road rage confrontation that occurred near Rainbow Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue in June. A bystander's recording captured Soriano's purported attack on Sarah Goolsby, as she recounted to News 3 LV, "But he just was enraged and just walked up to the truck. And I have my phone, because I've got my insurance card on my on my Apple Wallet, and he grabs my phone and just punches me" The video evidence fueled a manhunt culminating in Soriano's initial capture.

The LVMPD had previously shared images of the attacker and a summer-long investigation ensued. Soriano, now awaiting extradition to Las Vegas, faces multiple charges including coercion with force or threat of force, destruction of property worth $250 to $5,000, and three counts of battery. In a statement obtained by KTNV, the response of Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson mirrored the sentiment of law enforcement: "We are very pleased this defendant was arrested and thank the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the United States Marshals Service for their assistance. We look forward to achieving justice for the victim in this case."
