Two men, Jason Buck and Vallen Burkhauser, have been arrested in connection with a home invasion robbery in Santa Rosa, according to a statement from the Santa Rosa Police. The incident occurred on the 1700 block of Dorado Court on Sunday, where Buck is accused of forcefully entering a residence with a firearm, binding the resident, and stealing various items, after which the two suspects allegedly made fraudulent transactions using the victim's access cards in Sonoma County, according to the social media post by Santa Rosa Police Department.
Following up on the home invasion, the Santa Rosa Police Department's Violent Crimes Investigation Team identified 48-year-old Jason Buck and his accomplice, 29-year-old Vallen Burkhauser, both residents, as the primary suspects in the case, subsequently tracking Burkhauser to Santa Rosa Avenue, where he was taken into custody without incident and Buck during a traffic stop near Lotus Court and Barham Avenue following an initial search that failed to locate the suspects immediately after the crime was reported by the victim who managed to escape and call for help.
The two men were booked at the Sonoma County Jail and face a raft of charges. Burkhauser is charged with robbery, commercial burglary, identity theft, and a probation violation, while Buck's charges include robbery, kidnapping during a robbery, false imprisonment, elder abuse, commercial burglary, identity theft, and a violation of post-release community supervision, as detailed in the Santa Rosa Police Department's report.
