Wake County is set to make recycling more engaging with a family-friendly game called "America Recycles Day." Starting tomorrow, the game aims to teach residents about the recycling options available in their homes, as reported by the Wake County.
Wake County's efforts for America Recycles Day, on Nov. 15, have become more interactive this year. Wake County Commissioner Cheryl Stallings said, "This year, we want to use the America Recycles Day Bingo game to encourage residents to consider recycling products from all rooms in their homes." She emphasized that recycling isn't just about kitchen waste but also includes items from the bathroom, garage, home office, and laundry room
Residents can get their bingo card from the county’s website and, as Stallings instructs, "recycle five items in a row to get bingo." Once completed, the bingo card must be submitted to the county's inbox by November 30. This activity promotes sustainability by focusing on tangible recycling tasks. Each bottle, can, or piece of paper recycled contributes to a healthier environment and connects knowledge with action through the simple act of completing a bingo card, as stated by the Wake County.
