Authorities are reaching out to the public for leads in a felony hit-and-run collision that left an individual with serious injuries. The incident, which occurred last Saturday around half-past noon, involved a white, newer-model pickup truck that entered State Route 28 from Batterman Road abruptly, forcing a full-size pickup with a trailer of hay to crash.
Witnesses reported to the Washington State Patrol that the white pickup stopped initially after the incident but left shortly after the collision without making contact with law enforcement officers. The driver has been described as a white male, somewhere between 50 and 60 years old, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Investigators are currently reviewing evidence and have appealed to anyone who might have captured in-car video footage of the scene or the suspect's vehicle to come forward. This could provide crucial information to aid in the apprehension and prosecution of the responsible party.
