Last night, a woman lost her life to gun violence in the San Gabriel Valley, an incident that is now the focus of a homicide investigation led by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. According to KTLA, the shooting happened around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday on the 900 block of Fickewirth Avenue in La Puente. Arriving deputies encountered a woman suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
The victim, who has not yet been identified, was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, as reported by KTLA. Authorities have not released any information regarding the circumstances leading up to the shooting or a possible motive.
